In the 2025-2026 school year, we are celebrating 30 years of providing a world-class, reach-for-the-stars learning environment for our children.
Meet our team
A Santa Fe local and La Mariposa Montessori Alumni, I began my journey as a
Montessori student in kindergarten. After graduating from the University of New Mexico
with a B.A. in pre-medical biology and psychology, I began teaching Spanish at La
Mariposa in 2024. A violinist since the age of three, I played classical and mariachi
music for many years. Becoming a teacher at La Mariposa has allowed me to integrate
my Montessori background, with my love of learning, caring for others, and music.
Composing educational songs and unearthing classics has been something I’ve
enjoyed integrating into my student’s learning experiences. Currently, I am the assistant
teacher in the South class, where I aim to provide comfort, safety and guidance to our
youngest students.
“The art of Montessori, which simply means finding the best way to help the child himself become what he was meant to become from the first moment of conception, is an art that joins home and school. That means parent and teacher supporting one another in their responsibility to the life of the child
