ANGELA GONZALES - Floating Support Assistant

A native New Mexican, I am the mother of 2 teenage boys and many animals, from lizards, to birds, to dogs!

I have always found a special joy in caring for children and once my own boys were old enough, began my Early Childhood studies at the Santa Fe Community College.

I have enjoyed many opportunities to work with young children in various environments and recently completed the North American Montessori Primary training. I was extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work at La Mariposa Montessori last school year where I immediately felt at home with the warmth of the entire staff, students and parent community here. I am thrilled to return to for another magical year!

I enjoy helping children feel welcome and confident in the classroom. I also enjoy working with the students as they practice the new skills they are learning, such as letter sounds, writing in their journals and completing their math work.
