LAUREN BECERRA- Administrative Assistant

I was born and raised in Los Angeles California. I was raised with 4 other siblings, 2 older sisters a younger sister and younger brother. I played soccer from the young age of 5-22. I love being raised in southern California where I spent a lot of my free time playing soccer, enjoying the beach, Disneyland ,the weather and everything Los Angeles has to offer. At 24 I met my husband who was coincidentally a graduate from Highlands University, shortly after dating we got married and decided to move to New Mexico to have a family. 9 years later we have raised two beautiful boys, 8 and 6 years of age. Moving to New Mexico was by far one of the best choices I’ve ever made in my life. Here I’ve been able to really focus on my family and have truly fallen in love with Santa Fe and with being a mom and raising my boys the best I possibly can.

While in new Mexico I’ve worked in the food and beverage/ hospitality industry where I was lucky enough to meet Katrina Holder, and after 8 years in that industry it was time for a change and La Mariposa was that bright light of change in my life and I am so grateful I have found such a beautiful community to be a part of. It has been so wonderful being around and working with children who I see are truly cared for by the teachers and staff. I make it a priority to treat and make sure all students here are cared for the way I would want my own children to be cared for.
